Nothing beats retail therapy right? I was enjoying myself at Zara after seeing the huge sales sign. Who can resist right?!?! I took some photos of some pieces that caught my eye. Those tagged with NOT are those I decided to forgo. So girls, look out for those tagged with yeah in my future pairings. In case, some of you wish to know which outlet I went, I went to the Zara in Vivocity.

A sneak peek to my cotton on buys.

Yes, I know I'm horrible when it comes to shopping, but what to do? GSS!

Never gotten such a big bag from cotton on before, NEVER. This is my first time spending so much there.

All from cotton on, wait, or is it rubi?

By right, it's the front view, I don't know why blogger loves to mess with my photos.

OOTD: in between the lines

 Candid

Look at what came! ASOS! Though most of the items inside belongs to J.. =/

My haul of the month

I recently fell in love with this. You can find this at SASA.

Outfit:
 Dress; Bangkok
Furry Jacket; Shopwildwolves
Heels; Taiwan
My haul are all from Bugis except for the sequin shorts which are bought from Gmarket.

Hype this look at chictopia and lookbook.nu

Call me cautious, but I never dared to venture out of my comfort zone when I have a casting to go. I usually see girls attending casts in dresses and it sort of became the norm or my norm. I know it doesn’t stands out which is what I ought to be doing but well, taking a risk isn’t my strong suit.
As I have yet to shift into my new room, I’m seriously lacking in wardrobe spaces and the worst nightmare is not being able to get that exact dress that I’m looking for. Talk about first world pains. So I took this gorgeous dress I purchased during my trip to BKK instead. I’m glad to share with you girls that being safe have paid off as I managed to clinch both of my cast confirmations that day. (:
I’ve matched the geometric designs of the dress with my heels that borne a similar-looking geometric design. From the looks of it, I managed to pull it off okay. As the dress is along the short side for me, I wore a pair of shorts instead of boy shorts to match the dress; I don’t want to play peek-a-boo with perverts.
It’s a long day that ended with a “lil me time” of retail therapy. I’ve never tried going shopping alone before, so it’s a quite an experience for me. And truth to be told, my haul from this “lil” shopping actually cost me more than when I’m shopping with my girls! So ladies, I would advise to refrain shopping alone; you just can’t resist as well as with your girls pointing out the plain fact that it’s an impulse buy.

beauty haul

SKII "miracle water"

Laneige toner

Mt Sapalo Body lotion

Laneige makeup primer

Laneige waterbank series

PRODUCTS MENTIONED BELOW (not in the haul)

Darkness lash glue

Shiseido THE SKINCARE Eye Moisture Recharge

These are just some of the products I bought during the month of April, as you can see, I’m really a laneige girl. I think almost all my skincare products are bought from laneige except for eye cream, I’ve very bad dark eye circles and eye bags problem. Up till this date, I’m still actively searching for an eye cream that would work for me. At the moment, I think the one that have the best effect for me is THE SKINCARE Eye Moisture Recharge by Shiseido, it’s not my Holy Grail eye product, but it’s what works best for me now.
Also, I’m not a big fan of laneige sleeping mask just yet, probably because I haven’t been using it often enough, but I feel what it does for me is pretty limited.. I’ll continue using it and sees what it can do.
You may want to note that, I might be stopping my skII after I finished it. Not because it isn’t great, but because my skin is already quite thin as it is, I don’t want to make it thinner than what is needed. In any case, thin skin is more susceptible to “injuries” and what not, meaning you have to take greater care of your skin.
My favourite make up cleanser will be mild cleansing oil by fancl, I’ve been using it for the past two years, and may I say, I love it! It’s such a hassle free product, it makes removing make up so much easier! But the down side is that, it’s not that great for removing eye lash glue or waterproof mascara. The eye lash glue that I’m currently using is by darkness, the waterproof mascara I’m using is by Majolica Majorca. Again, they are not my Holy Grail products, but personally, I feel the mascara is pretty awesome for volumising purposes!
As for the face primer, honestly speaking, I didn’t have the chance to try a lot of brands yet, I tried biotherm whitening makeup base which was really oily for my skin, as for the laneige, it helps my makeup stay on matte for about 4hours or more, depending on the environment I’m exposed to. Also, for ladies that don’t fancy fragrance on their skin product, you may want to give laneige a miss. I prefer not to have fragrance on my skincare products, but I don’t mind having it, if you get me..
Moving on, to body lotion, I’m really fussy when it comes to body lotion, I can’t sleep with lotion that are too slippery or oily, they have to be all absorbed in before I can sleep which is a down side for me because I usually apply lotion right before I sleep. Until I tried Mt sapola invigorating body lotion! It was given to me as a gift by a close friend of mine, so when I saw Mt sapola while having casting at vivo city, I got all excited and bought another bottle. This is the lemongrass one, recommended to me by the sales lady. It doesn’t smell awesome, but I don’t really care since I only apply it right before bed, nobody is going to smell me while I’m sleeping.
Ps, these are all my skincare products at the moment, I’ve no idea why they finishes at the same time altogether..

my beauty buys from savee

Just when I'm in need of masks, I found some cheap ones that seems not bad! It's during one of the event I was working at somewhere last week. So don't ask me where they are now, cause I've no idea. Though I do know that they have a shop/warehouse at the far west area, jurong or boon lay I believe.

The face masks, I bought some for my mom too.. (:

The jelly masks and eye masks, I tried the pink one, it's not too bad, the size of my eye bag did shrunk, for that one night only though. Not to forget I will have very bad eyebags whenever I wake up early in the morning. ):

So girls, if you are interested in the items, go to saveebeauty.com and enquire..
Oh, I've also tried the AHA serum thingy, on the first day, my face have a nasty yellow undertone, after that, it's fine already. I'm using AHA now because my skin is pretty bad now, after the vietnam trip, my skin have yet to recover from all the nasty scars, and also, with the exam stress, I keep having breakouts. )): The AHA seems to help some, I've only used it for a couple of days, not too sure of the goodness yet, but so far, so good. (:

I've tried the green and the neon yellow ones already. I've to say the neon yellow one aren't fantastic.. But what's to expect for neon polishes? Neon polishes tends to run streaky, so, not so surprising here, but another thing is, this yellow one get dirty easily, I don't know how to explain this, but it feels a little sticky, and thus attracts dirt easily? OH OH, and it smells realy bad, even after bathing, I still can detect a tinge of stench, mostly for the yellow one only. The green one is a cream finish, it's OKAY I guess, nothing  much to talk about it.. Both colours are painted with two layers with no base coat and top coat. I'm not done with them yet, if time permits, I might do some easter eggs theme with them. (:

yet another shopping haul.

All the items together, yeah, I spent quite a bomb.

I don't know why is it that the photo "auto-rotate" by its own! anyways, i just love the paper bags peak&pine gave me! oh the packaging, so girly, I love.

Okay, so right after my mini bout of tests and projects, I went for a much needed retail therapy! In actual fact, it’s really not mini, but this is just the “first wave” so in comparison, it’s a “mini bout”. /insert stressed up sad face.

I fell head over heels for my new boat shoes. They are actually in a pretty pastel green colour!
My latest infatuations are with the pastel green and pastel orange, I fell in love with the spring colours, namely the mint green which are getting popular, wait a minute; I think it’s already popular among you girls! I also bought a new sunnies from H&M to brace myself against the sunny weather that’s already making its presence known. I know in other countries, it probably still spring season. But here in Singapore, we are experiencing the early summer now. ): I can’t stand brightly lit place, I’ll get a headache from it, yeah, like a vampire.

The rest of my buys are mostly accessories, gosh, they are so cheap! About$5 per pc or less! Hurry down to Bugis! I’m speaking like a Bugis ambassador, laughs. I also bought two vests, one cardigan, one girly top and a toga jumpsuit. (:

I love outer wears like nothing else in the world other than accessories, dress, shoes, okay, I think you got my drift; I love almost anything that’s remotely related to fashion. But really, I tend to gravitate towards pastel colours, and outer wears.

These days, I’ve been on a look out for crochet shorts and denim jackets/ chambray tops. Oh, and the cardigan. I almost don’t go out without one in my bag, despite being “cold blooded” ( part of the walking dead ), reference from “vampire” on top, I’m immensely afraid of chilly environment, namely shopping malls and my lecture halls. *shivers* I bought the girly top, because I realized I don’t have much of these girly tops in the wardrobe. I don’t have any scallop finishing nor Peter Pan collar tops; or dresses like that too. So there you have it, an addition of another style? Oh, and I don’t have any jumpsuit with me too, haha, I think, I don’t have a lot of styles with me.

But wait, let me explain, like I said in my previous post, I’m standing at 5’9, which also means, there are a lot of jumpsuits and rompers that can’t fit me. So, in general, I tend to skip past those styles, too lazy to even try it on to see if it fits. Also mostly I do my shopping online, so naturally, it’s too big of a risk for me..

I haven’t had time to do any OOTDs, mainly because my “photographer”, J is having examinations, I’m already starting on my second bout of tests and projects, so really, the only time I actually go out is during project meetings and work. And in my opinion, none of them are lookbook/chictopia worthy.

Shopping Haul: Bugis

I'm the kind of girl that loves shoes, but couldn't justify herself buying expensive branded shoes.

I don't know is this even considered a shopping haul. I think some of you would think this is more like a mini shopping haul.

Shopping haul: drugstore and forever 21 Accesories.

Drugstore buys: prices are from drugstore website itself, the promotions I enjoyed back then, likely have ended, since I bought these at the start of dec. I only receive them two weeks ago, due to Christmas, heavy traffic for online shopping and whatnot which causes delay for shipping, blahblah.

Revlon Super Lustrous - Pearl Lipstick, Softshell Pink - .15 oz $7.99

Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips - 20 ea $33.99

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil, Sable Brown 011 $2.38

Milani Liquif'Eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil, Brown 05 $6.49

Maybellin The Colossal - Waterproof Volum' Express Mascara, Glam Black 240 $6.39

CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara, Very Black 885 - .44 oz $7.29

I MIGHT, "might" being the operative word, do a review on the cosmetics, which WILL take a long while, since my majolica Majorca isn't empty yet. I know, I know, I'm supposed to throw them after a couple of months, they are not good for your lashes once they past a few months old, ya-da, ya-da. But I feel, it's such a waste. =\

That being said, I'm pretty satisfied with my buys except for the Faux Stone Hinge Bracelet; Forever 21, antique clock necklace. Personally, I don't fancy magnetic clasp, also, I feel that the clock is too small, I wanted something bigger. Oh well, any takers?

As for that random nail polish, I just feel that it's really cute! This only cost $2, but for such a small bottle, it's actually not that cheap. Also, because the "cap" is so small and short, I've difficulty with the application. Its not a top coat, just a clear nail polish color, which I'm gonna use on my accessories. So that they can last me longer. (: a little tip for you uh? I didn't use this on my nails, so, no comments on that.

This can be found at any SASA outlet. Cost about $2sgd, I think.
